Did you know? Have you heard? T.J. Maxx and Macy’s are both offering rewards/loyalty programs to customers.
For a frugal lady like me this is huge news. I LIVE for a rewards card. Why? Because you get discounts and other perks when you accumulate so many points.
My key fob game is strong.
Anywho, the news about the programs came across my Instagram feed recently, so of course I did some investigating. Don’t ever say I haven’t done anything for you. =)
TJX Rewards® Access: The program is FREE to join and the card can be used at T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods (yay!)
Benefits: This one doesn’t offer any extra discounts since T.J. Maxx and its sister stores already offer deep discounts, but you do get the inside scoop on new arrivals, new store openings, chance to win prizes and giveaways.
Where do I get one? You can grab a card in the stores or sign-up online and save your digital card on your phone, which is what I did. I’m trying to be all 2015 and not 2000 and carry so many cards and fobs on me.
The fine print: From what I gather your qualifying purchases have to be made at three separate participating stores. Read more of the fine print here.
Macy’s Plenti: This program is also free to join and you earn points no matter what method of payment you use, i.e. Macy’s credit card, cash, debit card. You can also earn points if you shop online.
Benefits: You earn 1 point for every $10 dollars you spend on qualifying purchases and you can earn double points on beauty and fragrance purchases at Macy’s. If you have a Macy’s American Express card and link it to you Plenti card, you can earn points wherever American Express is welcomed. Also, you can use the card at other businesses that have partnered with Plenti. Sweet!
Where do I get one? You can join in-stores or online.
The fine print: The points become available once you’ve accumulated at least 200. Read more here.
So, what do you think? Plan on getting one or both?
