Influenster Summer Vox Box Review

Earlier this month, I was selected to receive another Influenster box. I love getting products  for FREE. This summer beauty VoxBox did not disappoint. I was thrilled and pleased with everything in it. If you want to know more about Influenster and its awesomeness, read my post about it here. Now, to the goodies!

Up first  is Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen (SPF 30): A 6oz bottle retails for $8.99 and it is also available in SPF 12 and 50. Let me first say this, everyone, yes EVERYONE needs to wear sunscreen. Since we all need it, you might as well get one that does double duty, right? I really liked this one for it’s light tropical scent and the smooth non-greasy way it went on. The scent was strong enough for me to know I had something on, yet, it wasn’t over powering and beach smelling like most sunscreens.  The fact that it’s a lotion is an added bonus. My skin felt smooth and moisturized.

OK, if I have any guys who are squeamish about feminine hygiene, I suggest you scroll ahead. Don’t worry. I’ll wait. Alright, the next product in my box was Tampax and Always Radiant Collection. The prices vary per box. *Note* I just saw some on clearance at my local Meijer for $1.94.

I liked that the products came in this cute clutch. I probably wouldn’t buy these because I’m loyal to another Always product, but I think this would be a cute gift for a young lady starting her journey into womanhood.

You can never go wrong with food, and the next treat I got was the Quaker Soft Baked Bar in the banana nut bread flavor. A box will cost you $3.29. *Note* if you click on the link above, you can get a coupon for 75 cent off a box.

This was OK. I had it for breakfast one morning and if I were a coffee drinker, this probably would have been a great together. I warmed it up and it was tasty, but I found it to be too sweet. The information with the bar says it has 5g of fiber and 6g of protein. I would recommend it for those people who don’t have time for breakfast.

I have to tell you guys that I squealed like a Catholic school girl getting kissed by her secret crush when I saw this Sally Hansen Magnet Nail Color! This retails for $9.99 (ouch). I have been wanting to try this and was so excited to have the opportunity to not pay $10 for nail polish.

Magnetic nail polish is a new trend that does exactly what is says. There is a magnetic strip at the top of the bottle cap that helps create as wavy black and silver design. Since I have zero skills in the nail design department, this allows me to be funky without having to do much. This five step system takes about 30 minutes to complete. You put on a base coat, a coat of polish, another coat of the polish, hit it with the magnet and then finish with a top coat. I thought it was really cute and even though it’s $10, I would like to have more. I hope they have them in bright colors and if I find a coupon, I will have another bottle.

To go along with my manicure was the Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Hand Creme, which retails for $5.99. I remember a long time ago, I found a lotion that was so great. What made it great was that is it lasted through my many hand washings. I was so excited to see that Sally Hansen claimed their product would last through hand washing because I go through tons of hand lotion. Well, I’m afraid they failed. It is creamy and I can tell that my hands were not as dry after washing, BUT they didn’t feel moisturized enough for me not to put on more lotion.

Based on demographics, a select Influensters were selected to receive Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty Therapy. I was one of the lucky ones. Yay! *happy dance*  It retails for $4.99 -$5.99 for 12.7 oz and 12.9 oz bottles. I got both the shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to use them because it wasn’t hair washing time for me, but the hubs used them and said it made his hair feel softer than normal. He has a dry scalp, so this may work out well for him.

*Note* I received each product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.  All the opinions are those of my own.

If you haven’t already, you really should sign-up for Influenster. Of course it’s free to do so.
