‘Catwalk for Clean Water’ fashion show

I love when the fashion community supports a good cause. I get the satisfaction of looking good and feeling good about helping those in need.

When I think of fashion and charitable collaborations, some that come to mind are Red, Fashion Project and H&M conscious collection

Recently, it was brought to my attention that a collaboration is happening in my own backyard.

For a second year, the Hoosier Environmental Council and Aveda have teamed up for “Catwalk for Clean Water.” How cute is that name? The event will be from 1 to 4 p.m., April 27 inside the Alexander Hotel, 333 S. Delaware St.
The event showcases eco-fashion and the season’s hottest trends in hair and makeup from Aveda. The fashion show is part of a global fundraising campaign for clean water held annually by the salon.

All money raised in Indiana stays in the state to support the council’s efforts to improve rivers, lakes and streams.

In addition to eco-fashions made from up-cycled and re-purposed materials, there will also be styling demonstrations, giveaways, games and a silent auction.
Sounds like an afternoon of fun to me.

Tickets for the event range from $20 to $35 and can be purchased here
