If you’ve been following me on social media for a couple of weeks, you know I’ve been talking about going to the World Natural Hair, Health and Beauty Show in Atlanta, GA this past weekend. I was actually selected to be a blogger for the event.

This was my first time attending and I was really excited to be there. I traveled with ladies from Naturalistas in Nap, and even though I’m not a fan of long road trips, we had a ball! We laughed, talked, ate and more.

Anyway, back to the show. Now, I’ve seen the pictures, heard the stories, but nothing really prepared me for the massive amount of vendors, samples and people there. Talk about sensory overload! Once I got my bearings I was OK, but it’s a lot to see. So much so that we spent four hours there!

I didn’t believe one of my traveling buddies when she said she needed the rolling suitcase she was taking to the event, but after seeing others do the same, I’m a believer. Although there was a ton of stuff to buy, I really didn’t buy much. Shocking, huh? I’m not much of a hair product junkie, so I really was looking more for t-shirts and funky accessories. I found a few of those, but not as much as I wanted.

One of the booths I was determined to get to was Shea Moisture because they have a new cosmetic line I wanted to try. It was way too many people at the booth for me to get my hands on the foundation, but I did snag some eye shadow, which I reviewed on my YouTube page.
In addition to checking out new natural hair and body products, I got to meet some cool peeps. I’m pictured with the lovely Frances Williams of RevealingBeaute.com. She was also a host in the social circle.
Overall, I had a great time. I would go back-maybe even with a rolling suitcase. If you are looking for a place to meet other natural-haired beauties, this would be it.
